A Note from the Codex Curators
Dear Readers:
We’ve been quietly working on the newest version of our website, which is now live!
For the past few months, we’ve been working on our new logo and wordmark and imagining what we wanted our new website to look like. We scanned the book covers and wrote personal descriptions for each of them.
After looking at the hundreds and hundreds of books in our collection, we hand-selected 40 books we think everyone should know about. Painting, woodworking, travel encounters, color theory, mythology—if you’re curious, there’s something here for you.
Our hope is that you come to this page when you’re craving the feeling of stepping into a bookstore and not knowing what book you’re going to walk out with.
We’ve got many ideas on how we can improve the site experience but as always, share any feedback with us. And if you happen to pick up one of the books we recommended, please tell us about it. A few things to note as well:
Our new site features only book covers. This is mainly because we wanted to avoid copyright issues, but most importantly we want to point you to interesting finds.
We'll be updating this new site frequently with new book additions.
This version of the Codex website is open to everyone. No wallet or NFT is needed yet.
A big thank you to the Codex community who shared their expertise with us during the branding process, and of course, thank you to the Matchbook holders for helping us set something off. We hope you enjoy our new website.
Happy reading,
Codex
